About the Role:

• The client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join an independent small animal and exotics practice in Brentwood. The role will suit a surgeon who enjoys theatre time supported by focused consulting.
• The post is full-time across five days, with weekend work required on a 1 in 4 rota, covering Saturdays 9:00–17:00 and Sundays 9:00–14:00. There is no out-of-hours, no sole charge, and no branch work.
• Applicants should bring 3–5 years of post-graduate experience with confident surgical skills and sound clinical judgement.

About the Practice:

The practice delivers first-opinion and referral services across ophthalmology, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, dermatology, and exotics. It is well equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, an in-house Idexx laboratory, a dental suite with dental X-ray, and a CT machine. The clinical team comprises three vets supported by six RVNs, three SVNs, a VCA, and receptionists.
